Makeup review: L'Oreal Paris's Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner

Hello everyone! ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
I am finally here to do another eyeliner review.
My mom buys a lot of make up and I tend to try them out for a bit and see if I would buy it myself because I am a heavy monolider who hasn't found her perfect eyeliner yet ;;;
Anyways, lets go on to the product: L'Oreal Paris's Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner

What the product claims to do:
You can visit their official site here

As you can see, it goes on JET BLACK.
The texture really does kinda look like that of a liquid liner.

This was after smudging it around really hard.
As you can see, didn't budge, but you can see a little smudging.

Overall:   ☆   ★

Did it live up to what it is suppose to do?:
As I was putting it on, it did glide on very well on my hand, but on my eye, it tends tug on your eye a bit unless you hold your eyelids down. You most definitely cannot a pretty perfect line in one stroke (◡_◡);; The texture of the actual pencil was kind of like a texture of oil pastels. I'll say it is smudge proof on my hand but It did not stay on for 16 hours, especially because I have oily monolids.

I guess the cap that comes with it so it doesn't ruin my makeup bag LOL

You HAVE TO HAVE TO HAVE TO have a FINE tip to get a nice precise line. If not, get ready to get big fat lines on your eyelids. Since the texture is so smooth, smudging will occur big time with oily lids. Not only that, when you are applying and you mess up, trying to correct your mistake ends up a big blotch of black ugly smudge all over your face. (=_=);

Would I buy it again?:
Yeah right >.>;;

$8.45 according to their site

Recommendations: Forget that I even mentioned this product LOL. I hate it and I don't want anyone to spend $9 to see if it works on them. It definitely does not work on monolids!

I'm so displeased with this piece of poop (=_=); I need to get me some dolly wink eyeliner pronto.

Have you guys tried this product? How did it work for you guys?
Thanks for reading and I hope this was helpful!

Personal: Muffins! + Updates

Hello everyone!
Please excuse my not very flattering photo ≧△≦;;

I was very tired the other day but I was really craving some cinnamon muffins
Sadly, we didn't have cinnamon so I just ended up making plain ones with some cereal in it (>ω<*)ノ

It was my first time making muffins and it didn't turn out bad at all!
I was very pleased :)

It was just a plain recipe I found on google.
As I was making it, the batter looked more like dough so I was a little worried but it turned out fine!
We had some left overs which I ate the next morning by heating it up a bit in the microwave.
I really want to make more but with blueberries or maybe strawberries.
Speaking of which, I will be baking a cake tomorrow! Super excited!  (^∇^)

In other news, I am going to do another eyeliner review soon!
Not only that, if you guys follow my twitter you guys would know that I finally ordered myself a pair of circle lens from eyecandy!

It's Glamour Brown by NEO
Doesn't it look super pretty? (-`ω´- )

Sadly, my order has been processing for 5 days already :/
I emailed them asking if there is something wrong with my order. Hopefully they email me back soon.

I heard eyecandy does a really good job with everything. I sure do hope so.

Please look forward to my future posts!

Personal: Blogging?

Hello everyone!
Just a heads up, this is just me ranting!

So I haven't been blogging for a long time like most of the bloggers I follow.
Does ranting on tumblr for a year count?

Honestly, I do love blogging about beauty, it's really enjoyable and people can relate no?
But that doesn't really show "me", if you guys know what I mean.

On tumblr, I would go on my cynical rants pretty much everyday.
Of course it was a new topic everyday. In highschool, lots of things trigger your mind to go off.
It would be from about my day that day to typical, "why does everyone wear a mask" post.

That was random but ugghhh I'm so mad now :/

Anyways, I'm going to wrap this up now because I'm mad LOL;
The point is, I love blogging on here about beauty but I also like talking about my thoughts on the world.
But for now, I need a focus on one thing in order to catch people's attention.
No one is going to share my same exact interests of a million different things.
Call me an attention whore but everyone wants to be noticed and be heard.

Honestly though, I don't think I can do it. Focus I mean.
My mind has a tenancy to do whatever and I tend to just let it do whatever.
Hopefully someday, my mind will come across with the true passion that I have been looking for.

So, please look forward to my random and unpredictable posts.
Unless its a tutorial or a review post... They are usually the same format. Haha!
I'll try to keep my rant posts to a minimum!

Oh, and thank you new followers and those who actually read and leave feed back for your support!
You guys don't know how much it means :)

Nail art: Snow leopard print + small update

Hello everyone!
How does it look? I personally think it turned out pretty good (>ω<*)

I made a tutorial and everything but the video wouldn't play right  ︿
If you guys are interested, let me know and maybe I'll get my lazy butt to rerecord it

I usually do my nails every week on Saturday or Sunday if I'm not drowning in homework.
If you guys have any suggestions for new nail designs let me know! I would love to try different ones.

Speaking of which, I should do a post of all the nail art I've done so far that I have taken a picture of.
ohohoho. Of course they will be itouch camera quality >.>;;

Anyways, as for the small update, I posted this video on my Tumblr on Monday and I wanted to share it with you guys :)

It's just my dog being silly.
I noticed that she had a tendancy to bark when my mom's phone rang so I gave it a go to see if it really was the ringtone causing her to bark.
Lol, dogs are so strange >ω<;;

Makeup review: Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner

Hello everyone, I will be reviewing my gel eyeliner that I got on Christmas!

It's an award winning eyeliner, and I'm going to go over two colors:

Black Ink and Graphite Shimmer Ink.

Lets start with what the website claims:
This award-winning liner gives you the look of liquid liner with the ease & feel of a gel formula. Long-wearing, water-resistant color glides on & let's you get it just right before it dries - then stays without a smear or crease. Awarded 'Best of Beauty' by 'Allure' Magazine (2011). Awarded best liquid liner by 'The Knot'Magazine(2010).

The top picture is without flash, and the bottom with flash.
The color on top is the shimmer Ink.
It goes on really well and thick! As you can see, the shimmer ink is a little more on its grey side.

After it dried, I went ahead and smudged the crap out of it.
This was after really hard rubbing because it wouldn't budge.
If it was on your eye, I think It'll stay with minimal smudging if you do not have oily monolids like I do.

I did do a test on how water resistant it was, and I am sad to say that it was not water resistant at all.

Did it live up to what it is suppose to do?:
It does look like liquid eyeliner, especially the black ink one. Very nice and black and goes on nicely. It does however, smudges and creases. It is also not water resistant and not long wearing.

Goes on nicely without tugging your eyelid. The Black Ink is a very nice black color. It can be easily removed with warm water and your daily facial cleanser. Also, I love Bobbi Brown's packaging. It's so nice and simple ・ω・ )

It smudges like crazy if you have oily lids. On top of oily lids, if you have monolids, it will not last all day because of the constant rubbing of your eyelids. I can't put it on my waterline either. It "melts" and smudges down to your eyebags >.>; Not only that, it isn't build able once it is dry so you have to work really fast!

For one of them, a .1oz/3g, it is $22

Would I buy it again?:Probably not, considering how much it smudges on oily lids.

Recommendations:Definitely not for oily monolids!
The woman who gifted me this also uses this liner. She doesn't have oily lids and a nice double eyelid and for her, it lasts all day long.
So for those who doesn't have oily lids and have double eyelids, give it a try. (・ )

I hope you found this review helpful!

Haul Post: Mini Haul from Lil' Thingamajig

If you guys have been reading my posts up till now, you guys should know that I am a little obsessed with going to this place.
It's a little store near where I live where they sell cute stationary stuff.

Anyways, when I was hanging out with my friend Christine the other day, I bought goodies for myself as you can see (-`ω´- )
Speaking of which, The picture above will be the last high quality picture you guys will see until I get a new camera ︿

My favorite purchase, of course was the falsies <3
I was able to get another pair on Sunday when our family went out for pho.

These are about $4.20 a pair I believe.
I really want to try dolly wink's but until I have enough money to afford $20 lashes, I'll stick with these.

This is what it looks like on my eye (-`ω´- )
As you can see, it's not well blended in with my real lashes because I have no makeup on.
I didn't feel like putting makeup on to show you guys how they look ohohoho /solazyomfg
Can you guys tell the difference?
The top one is more "fluttery" looking than the bottom one.

I'm just happy I don't have to go falsieless this week

I almost forgot, here is a picture of what my pencil case looks like with the new stuff I have bought

Personal: Moving forward

Hello everyone!
If you guys have read my last post, you guys would know my family is going through a hard time right now.
I've been crying nonstop for a while whenever I was alone and I just looked like crap for most of the week.
But I got my self together.

I decided that there was no use mopping around and crying because that wasn't going to fix the problem, so I should try to distract myself and relax instead of being stressed over this all the time.
Then again, I didn't want to come off as though I didn't care.
I realized that I know I do care, and I shouldn't have to put on a show for everyone else to let the world know that I actually care.

I do get upset when I am alone but I decided that I would be strong and move forward.

All I can do is pray and have faith in God and hope for the best.
Stressing and crying isn't going to fix the problem.

Anyways, enough of sad depressing stuff.
I still have 3 blog posts queued > <; and I plan to keep blogging because its one of the things i really like doing.
Please look forward to my future posts and support my family and I as we go through this hard time!

Personal: Life update #08 - Small notice

Hello everyone, this is just a quick notice and a heads up.
My family is going through something really serious that won't be resolved for a while.
Considering I am the oldest and the one who speaks both Korean and English fluently, I will be busy and stressed out to get this problem resolved and will not have the time, energy, or the mood to blog for a while while trying to keep up with my everyday life also.

I just ask that you pray for our family's well being, especially my dad and my sisters. I know my dad is hurt but being the man of the family, he doesn't show it.
As for my sisters they are young and do not know what is going on. I just wish for their safety from all this crap.
I'm not asking to have pity on me or my family.
I just ask that if you guys are kind enough to keep us in your prayers.

I just really wish that everything goes well.

Personal: Hanging out

Ah, a good quality picture again.
Don't get used to it, I don't have a nice dslr like my friend Christine.

Speaking of which, I hung out with her on Saturday because I desperately wanted to hang out with someone LOL
We invited two other girls but they couldn't make it ಥ__ಥ
Despite the nice weather looking picture, it was cold and mother nature was bipolar ~( >︿ < )~

For 2 hours, we just ate, talked, and camwhored.
Well I selca'd alot on my ipod... and then took turns taking pictures of each other

Aigo (◡_◡);; I tend to tense up when people take pictures of me.
It makes me sad and I always have to I'll eat your face off look.
I must practice looking better in pictures LOL

Hanging out with me is never complete unless we take sticker pictures! (>ω<*)ノ

I also bought new falsies and cute pencils and what not!
I'll do a mini haul post soon <3

Personal: Life update #o6

Hello everyone >3<
I know I haven't updated in a while and that is largely because I am lazy >.>;;
That and my crappy camera quality.
I really need to upgrade my camera asap. I got mine when I was 13 and it's only 5.1 mega pixels >.>
Wtf am I going to do with 5.1 mega pixels? I'm pretty sure my mom's iphone camera is more than 5.1
Speaking of which, the picture above was taken by my friend Christine with her nice dslr.
Check her Flickr out with her noob skills <3

Anyways, I am going to have posts queued so no worries.
I think I'm going to have 3 at least.
I realize this is a boring post but I just wanted to do a quick update to let you guys know I'm not neglecting my blog.
I'm just lazy and mad at my camera and my broke high school status T-T

Makeup Review: Stila Stay all day waterproof liquid eyeliner

Hello everyone!
As you can tell from the title, this will be a review on this eyeliner!
The reason why I didn't use my picture to show the product is because it looks like this:

Yeah, you cant really see the label or anything! I have been using this product for a while now and the label kinda smudged off.

Please excuse my falsie-less face > <; but I am wearing the eyeliner in this picture. Here are some close ups:

You can already tell the eyeliner is fading in the second picture :/ Anyways, let go onto the review.
If you visit stila's website, it tells you what this eyeliner does:
Finally a waterproof liquid liner that glides on with ease, won't smudge or run, and stays in place until you say when! The thin marker-like tip is easy to use even for the least experienced, and delivers a defined thin line to a dramatic bold line with precision. Goes on smoothly without skipping, smudging, or pulling, and lasts all day!
Key benefits:
  • Waterproof and easy-to-use
  • Goes on smoothly without skipping
  • Lasts all day long!
Let us test their sayings! (I will comment on how well the eyeliner did on the bolded parts at the end!)

Here is the label-less eyeliner once again. LOL

I have it in black, and it definitely is a nice jet black.

I rubbed it around a bit and no budge! Very Impressive.

Yikes. I added some water and let the water fall off before I began rubbing. So much for waterproof!

Did it live up to what it is suppose to do?:
It does go on very easily without tugging and irritation. It doesn't smudge nor run, but, it is NOT waterproof nor does it stay on the whole day on my lids because I'm a monolid which means oily lids and frequent rubbing.

Pros: The color is very nice. Not very shiny which i do like. Application is also super easy.

Cons: It is not waterproof! If you go back up and look at the second picture of my close up, you can see the color has faded already after only 2 hours of use. As a monolid, I do need waterproof eyeliner that will not budge when I rub it around.

Price: It's $20 dollars. For something that isn't even waterproof? Please. Talk about over priced.

Would I buy it again?: NEVER! It lied to me! And for $20!! I also do NOT recommend this to monolids! This is a nonononononno! Stay away from it!
But for those who does have a nice double eyelid like my mom does, it tends to stay on with minimal fading. I still do use it everyday because I'm too lazy to use my gel liner. The wing part stays on pretty well and that's the only part that shows anyways so I'm okay with that.

I hope you found this review helpful!

Hair Care: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Review

Hello everyone! I wanted to do a quick hair product review.

Before I go into the review, I want to let you guys know that my hair is curly and damaged due to constant chemical treatments.
I used to get my hair chemically straighten every year.
Eventually, I ended up going to a bad hair dresser who basically fried my hair.
I haven't chemically straightened my hair for 2-3 years now so my hair condition is definitely getting better.
But I still do not have silky gorgeous pin straight hair. And it doesn't help the fact that I have curly hair :/

Anyways, I told you guys that little story because this product definitely helped my hair.

This is what it looks like out of the bottle.
It's super creamy and you don't need a lot to cover your whole hair... for me anyways (I do have short hair)

How to use:
Before conditioning, try to squeeze all the water out of your hair first. After, you just squeeze the product on to your hand and cover your hair with it, focusing it on your tips. Try not to cover your roots with it. This prevents your hair from getting oily fast. Then wait 2-3 minutes (the bottle says 2 mins and 45 seconds) before rinsing out warm water. I usually wash my body and shave my legs while I wait.

*TIP!: Before getting out of the shower completely, rinse your hair with cold water. This will make your hair nice and shiny.

Definitely leaves hair super soft! I've been using this for 3months now and my hair condition significantly improved. I still have a lot of the product left too!

*TIP!: The only reason why I have still a little less than half of the bottle left of product is because I don't use it everyday. I used to use it every time I showered and I noticed that my hair was kinda getting limp and thin. Not attractive. I only use this every other time I shower, and I shower every other day. So I use this every 4 days. Remember, too much of a good thing is also bad! In this case, over conditioning leaves hair very thin!

I don't like the smell... If you read my Philosophy Skin Care review, you know I'm pretty big on smell. It smells like pina colada, and i hate pina colada. The smell is a little faded once you come out of the shower and blow dry, but does stay in your hair until the next time you shower. Whenever my sister smells my hair, she always comments saying it smells like coconuts. For me, it's a compromise I'm willing to take with a good product that works in my hair.

Price: $3-5
I bought this when it was on sale so it was $3 for me. For a drugstore product, it works amazing!

Would I buy it again?: Most definitely! I also recommend this to you guys! Let me know if you guys are going to try it out, or have tried it!

Personal: Happy Birthday!

Hi guys! Today is my sister's 13th birthday!
Our parents took us to Olive Garden <3 Yum.

Oh and this is my youngest sister.
I don't know why she makes weird faces when she takes pictures >.>
She is actually really pretty and petite but she is a tomboy... so no spoiling her like a princess for me :/

I honestly think that the best part of Olive Garden is their salad and bread sticks.
I don't really care for the main entrees... I tried most of the things on the menu LOL

I had the tour of italy :3

We ended up not doing the birthday cake thing because my dad came home late and my sister went out with her friends for 2 hours while I stayed home and worked on my project for tomorrow.
She said she had fun so I guess that's good :)
